Janie Selby serves as the Operations and Compliance Officer for Willamette Financial Advisors. She joined the team in 2015 and draws on more than 30 years of industry, executive management, leadership and operations experience. Janie’s ability to identify new solutions and maintain an agile and flexible work infrastructure enables the firm to respond to client needs and adapt during these more challenging times. Janie leads the firm efforts in the area of marketing and 401(k) strategic development. She has the perfect blend of real-life and professional training in the areas of leadership, operations, compliance, management, and development.
Janie has worked with large, medium and small-size businesses, assisting them in bringing their operations, systems, and processes in line with their needs while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations and laws. She has extensive experience working with individuals, corporations and small businesses and is masterful in helping them achieve clarity, alignment, and high levels of success.
In business, Janie has developed and overseen the implementation of a variety of business planning/policy and compliance initiatives; employee development plans; and operating procedures. She has streamlined processes to reduce cost, managed day-to-day operations, and designed and implemented numerous training and development programs. In addition to Janie’s operational and compliance role with Willamette Financial Advisors, she has her designation as a Financial ParaPlanner Qualified Professional, preparing Financial Plans for the firm’s clients.
Janie is a published author; written and presented numerous articles and technical documents; established standards for operations and compliance, including employee handbooks, and training programs.
A native Oregonian, Janie enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, biking, knitting, cooking, and volunteering in the community and at church.
